Badminton Assignments Spring 2010

Each assignment counts for 10 points of the total 100 points so do not take these lightly!

 

Assignment 1: SKILL

 

Assignment 1 Answer Sheet 8 AM Class          Assignment 1 Answer Sheet 9:30 AM Class

 

  1. Everybody starts this course with different interests and abilities and it is important to get out of this course what you need. This is your opportunity to find out what you want to know. Badminton has many different facets and in this assignment you need to first answer this question: "What about badminton do you want to know that will help you improve your skill in the game?" NOTE: this assignment works on SKILL!!! Tactics will be in the second assignment!
  2. Check the answer sheets for the types of questions asked already. You cannot ask the same question twice.
  3. You must write down your answer on your class answer sheet: Spring 2010 8AM Class    /   Spring 2010 9:30AM Class  (Click Edit, add text and click Save)
  4. You must now locate a video that can provide you with an answer to your question. Here are a few websites that have many different videos but you can always google it:
    1. How to Videos
    2. World Badminton Videos
    3. YouTube Badminton Videos
  5. On the answer sheet, copy the link of the video (URL) that can provide you with the answer.
  6. In a short paragraph, write the answer to your question on the answer sheet.
  7. On the day your assignment is due, be prepared to provide the class with the question and answer you found.
  8. Your response on the answer sheet and the verbal response in class will count for 10 points. Being late will result in a zero unless you have asked for an extension from the instructor PRIOR to the due date.

NOTE: this assignment works on TACTICS such as offensive and defensive strategies!!! Skills were part of the first assignment!
